Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) policy 04:01:07:02 governs the relationship of foundations supporting the campuses of the TBR system [1].  Policy requires the college have a written agreement with the foundation that describes each party's responsibilities and the description of any services provided by the college.

TCA 49-7-107 (a) gives the Tennessee Board of Regents the authority to enter into agreements and do whatever is necessary to establish foundations for the campuses within the system [2].

NSCC has one foundation, the Nashville State Community College Foundation which was chartered in August of 1994 [3].
