Each semester, a Desire2Learn shell is created for each NSCC class. Desire2Learn is a course management system that allows instructors to provide electronic communication and other online materials to students over the Internet. Using this system, faculty will be able to supplement and further enhance faculty-to-student and student-to-student communication for on-campus courses. Faculty are to use Desire2Learn to post an online syllabus. Instructors may also make other materials (such as class notes) available to students. Support for converting currently used documents for delivery over the Web will be provided through group training and one-on-one support by the Instructional Services area. Contact Instructional Services at 353-3432 or email linda.lyle@nscc.edu .

On the first day of classes, students are added to Desire2Learn (NS Online) courses by the Computer Services Department. Students who register late should wait 24 hours before attempting to logon. Students who cannot logon should contact the Help Desk at 353-3678 or HelpDesk@nscc.edu.
