Graduates arriving late, after the processional has started, will be directed to sit in the last row(s) of the commencement area during the ceremony. Even if graduates have been to rehearsal, late arrivals will not be allowed to disrupt the ceremony by cutting into line or seating. Late arrivals will still have their names called, walk across the stage and have graduation photos made.
Doors to the arena will close at 5:50 p.m. If guests arrive after 5:50 p.m., they will be directed to the second floor level to enter the arena. If guests are disabled, they will be allowed to wait in the lobby area until the processional has concluded to enter the arena.
Guests must stay in their seat to take pictures. Guests are not allowed on the main Gentry Center floor to take photos. There will be professional photographers taking photos of graduates before they enter the stage and after they receive their diplomas. These photos will be available for purchase through the photography agency. Photo info for Graduates

Please know that only one other family member can sit with the person needing accessible seating, a total of two people per family in this restricted area.
Due to the number of guests with limited mobility who attend the NSCC commencement ceremony at the Gentry Center, this area has limited seating. These restrictions are designed to minimize accidents, and to allow emergency access, if needed. We appreciate your assistance in adhering to these guidelines.
Please let your families know before Tuesday, May 7th about this designated area for those guests who use scooters, wheelchairs, and walkers, or have limited mobility. Please inform them that only one family member can sit with each limited mobility guest. It is our desire to make accommodations for those who need a more accessible location to view the commencement ceremony. With you and your families’ cooperation and understanding, we will be better able to accommodate many of our guests with mobility challenges.
Each graduate should expect to be photographed three times during the NSCC Commencement Ceremony.
For best results, remember to pull back your tassel (as well as any long hair) from your face. Footprints on the floor will mark the place for you to stand for the first and third photo. After the person in front of you is finished, simply step onto these footprints, pause briefly, and smile at the photographer. There is no need to pause or look at the photographer for the second photo.
