• In any of the OneFile Databases (TEL databases) the “quick search” or “basic search” is keyword.
• A “subject search” only searches certain Library of Congress subject terms.
• When searching use 1 or 2 words separated by AND, OR, or NOT.
• Very short phrases are better than complete sentences.
** A “subject search” in any of the TEL databases will sometimes help narrow a topic, because it may list “subdivisions” (or narrower terms). It may also list “related subjects” (or broader terms).
**For newspapers Search: newspaper and news services
**All databases under Journal Finder are linked together.** If an article is not full text in one database click the Search other databases button. It will tell you if it is full text in another database or if the library has a physical subscription to the title. It also links to journal and magazine titles that are freely accessible on the web.
