Pre-production
MIND MAP
The first step in the pre-production process. A central idea or topic that is surrounded by connected branches of associated topics.
OUTLINE
The second step in the pre-production process. A general description listing the essential project information, but not the details. Organizing the information from the mind map.
SCRIPT
Third step in the pre-production process. A detailed plan for presenting visual and audio assets in a project.
WIREFRAME
The fourth step in the pre-production process. An image or set of images which displays the functional elements of a project, used for planning the structure and functionality.
STORYBOARD
Final step of the pre-production process. A sequence of drawings, typically with some directions and dialogue, representing the flow of the individual elements in a project.
