ONLINE WORKSHOP INFO

The Office of Online conducts web-based workshops throughout the semester. These workshops are catered toward faculty at NSCC's satellite campuses, but are available for all faculty. For participation in a web-based workshop, registration is required. In order for the workshop to run smoothly and stay on schedule, please make sure that all steps have been completed prior to the workshop's scheduled start time. These online workshops will be conducted within D2L using the Virtual Classroom feature. For this reason, registration is imperative; in order to participate in the online workshop, you will need to be added to the appropriate course shell as a student.

In preparation, please ensure that you are using the most updated version of your browser (Chrome is ideal) and that you have access to working speakers/headphones. While you will be prompted to verify your working speakers before entering the virtual classroom, I encourage you to verify on your own beforehand. You can do this by watching a YouTube video and making sure that you can hear it. It may also be helpful, although not required, for you to have a microphone and/or webcam.

To participate,

  • locate the course “NSCC Instructor Training” in D2L. You have been registered in this class as a student, and should be able to find it by clicking the waffle icon in your D2L home page:
