The dates for the chapters to read indicate the week during which you should complete that assignment. The dates and times for the last opportunities to complete tests and exams are the precise dates and times when access will end. You must complete the tests and exams no later than the posted dates and times. I encourage you to work ahead of this schedule and take each test/exam in advance of the last opportunity. Your assignments for this semester are to read the assigned chapters and complete the tests and exams by or before the last opportunity to do so. These are the minimum requirements to complete the course. I do not make additional assignments, because I have learned that a worthwhile homework assignment for one student may be “busy work” and a waste of time for another student. I think that as a college student you are the better judge of what is useful and worthwhile to you. I trust that you will do more than the minimum to get the full advantage from this course... that is a mark of scholarship! There are many study aids available in the text book and NS Online: review and discussion questions, Internet exercises, cases, notes, summaries, PowerPoint presentations, etc. All of these are for you to use as you wish to develop mastery of the subject. You do not have to submit responses to them. If you put forth minimal effort in this course, you can expect minimal results. If you want to get the most from this course, you will need to "get your hands dirty" and do quite a bit of work. Learning requires hard work! |
