The Computer Services Help Desk (new window) provides technical assistance to students who are experiencing problems connecting to the website, logging on to their My Home page, and with functions within NS Online courses. Technicians have the ability to view a student’s account to diagnose problems in these areas and determine the source of problems. Help Desk technicians are able to resolve most issues upon the first contact.

Access the help files for NS Online by clicking on "Help" on the navigation links at the top of any screen and selecting "Student Help Guide." Check your computer system, look for supported browsers, and access help files for instructions on using NS Online tools. Click on "Technical Support" to go to the Help Desk website, and click on "Online Course Support" to contact the Coordinator of Online Learning.
The Learning Center (new window) offers all NSCC students free, drop-in academic assistance with courses in which they are currently enrolled at the college. Services include access to computers for research, email, tutorials in course content, and software applications used in classes. In addition, tutors are available to help in many subjects, especially mathematics and writing. Free online tutoring is also available to students.
The Mayfield Library (new window) facilitates learning and research for Nashville State students, staff, and faculty. Fully automated, the Mayfield Library features an online catalog, ebook collections, and periodical databases.
From any page in NS Online, select "Free Online Tutoring" from the Resources group on the navigation bar. Your school has provided you with free online access to SMARTHINKING. You may use SMARTHINKING from anywhere, at anytime and interact with live e-structors (tutors) in basic math, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, micro and macro economics, accounting, and writing for all subjects.
The Testing Center (new window) provides multiple testing services for students including testing for students taking online courses at Nashville State and the Regents Online Degree Programs (RODP).

The Access Center (formerly Disability Services) (new window) staff provides advising, advocacy, and facilitation of accommodations to ensure that all students have equal access to a quality education. Staff also provide reasonable accommodations for community members with disabilities who wish to attend college events. Access Center staff assist students who have documented physical, emotional, or learning disabilities. Access Center personnel assist eligible students with admissions, admissions testing, academic planning, registration, testing (including pre-admission testing and/or assessments), and communication with faculty. The Access Center is administered through Student Services and provides services to students at all campus locations.
