PROCEDURES AND POLICIES:

v     Students are responsible for knowing the information in this syllabus. Do not refer to the syllabus for the lecture classes that can be accessed on the DSPM website. However, the DSPM website is used to access the assignments and the test review worksheets.

v     In this video course students are expected to complete the lessons, turn in their assignments, and take the tests by the dates on the course outline sheet. Use the video course Handbook to organize the contents of the lessons. The video tapes are available from the Library at Nashville State Community College. The video tutorials are on the CDs that are purchased with the textbook packet.

v     Homework assignments must be turned in to the Testing Center. Tests and final exam are on file in the Testing Center  and must be taken ON or BEFORE the final date listed on the Course Outline. There is a penalty for not testing on or before the due date without contacting the instructor. There will be no extension for the final exam, a score of zero will be recorded if the final exam is not taken on or by the due date. All assignments are to be turned in ON or BEFORE the final date listed on the video assignments sheet. The only assignments turned in for scoring for the "homework grade" are the test review worksheets from the DSPM Test Review Packet.

v     There are four homework assignments ( test 1 review, test 2 review, test 3 review and the final review from the  Test Review Packet) to be turned in for the homework grade (15%).

Students must contact the instructor by phone or e-mail for help, feedback, and test grades. Students are welcome to visit the instructor’s office.

Course Requirements:

v     Report course progress to your instructor every two weeks. Failure to do this will result in a grade of WF. The submission of a test will serve for a progress report on the week that a test is due.

v     Complete assignments on DSPM 0700 Basic Math and homework assignments which can be downloaded from ww2.nscc.edu/dspm or accessed from the following link located under homework assignments.

v     Only test review worksheets from the course packet will be turned to be graded for the homework grade. Even though the only assignments that are turned in for scoring are the review worksheets, a student should do all the assigned problems in the lessons in order to be successful, master the concepts to go forward, and do well on the tests.

v     Have a final average of 70 or more.

v     Complete three unit tests and a comprehensive final exam.

Homework:

The work must be neat and organized. Do not send in a list of answers only. Credit will not be given for work that shows the answers only.
