To start your browser, click on the icon from the desktop that starts the program.
For Internet Explorer, click .
When the program opens, at the top left of the screen is an Address box where URL addresses can be entered. In the illustration below, http://www.nscc.edu is an example of a URL.
Click inside the box and the words will display in blue.
Touching a space bar or a character on the keyboard will delete the selected text leaving the open space to key a new address. Clicking inside the box will deselect the text so it can be edited. Use the backspace or delete key to delete text or click the point where text is to be inserted and key the new text.
Internet Explorer also provides a shortcut for revisiting sites that you have recently visited. Click the drop-down arrow at the right of the address box to display sites you have visited. To revisit a site, click on the address of the desired site.
