Many programs are installed from a CD-ROM. To install software, the CD is placed in the CD-ROM drive. Some programs begin the installation process automatically; others must be started by the user.
Click the Start button at the bottom left of the screen then choose Run. Click the Browse button to locate the software. Click the drop-down arrow next to the Look In textbox. The CD-ROM drive can be identified by the picture of a CD.
The drive letters vary from one computer to another. Click the appropriate drive, then select the Setup or Install file from the list of files that display.
Continue by choosing Run or OK and follow the instructions on the screen to install the software.
