In April 2024, The Teaching Center scheduled, promoted, moderated, and updated The Teaching Center’s data tracking of attendance for 11 professional development sessions. The Teaching Center promoted 26 professional development opportunities during April, including free virtual webinars, seminars, institutes, and conferences.
The Teaching Center led a cohort of NSCC faculty in the ACUE Effective Teaching Practices course. 19 faculty have earned the Credential in Effective College Instruction this academic year.
ACUE Effective Online Teaching Practices Cohort applications opened in mid-March, and we currently have 30 people signed up for the cohort. There are 3 remaining spots, and when these are filled, we will start a waiting list.
The Fall Flourish: Refreshing Your Teaching Toolbox conference schedule was sent to all faculty and to the chairs of the Administrative Assembly and Staff Assembly on April 26. 30 professional learning sessions are scheduled during this conference that will be held August 16 – 22.
