Consider starting class with a question. Material learned is more relevant when it is an answer to an actual question.
Consider sharing with students that there are no wrong turns, only forward progress.
Consider asking whether students need anything to be reviewed again, whether anything was left out of the explanation, or whether you can clarify any other aspects INSTEAD of asking whether there are any questions to elicit student comments.
