Insert the disk in Drive A.
Double click on "My Computer."
Right click on Drive A. Click on Format.

To format a floppy disk in Drive A
Insert the disk in Drive A.
Double click on "My Computer."
Right click on Drive A. Click on Format.
Make choices from the menu.
Choose the capacity--1.44 Mb for a high density diskette or 740 Kb for a double density diskette.
Choose Quick format to erase files from an already formatted diskette. Choose Create an MS startup disk to be used to boot the computer.
Click Start.
When the format is complete, a dialog box displays "Format complete."
Click OK.
Click Close.
