Case Files Background
The design of problem-based case studies evolved as faculty experienced internships and then brought real-world experience into their curriculum structure through "cases" built around the Learning Cycle. These four cases resulted from the SEATEC.
- Students discover the complexities of planning, designing, and installing a network in " A Netful of Work."
- Students examine critical features of bridge construction to create successful designs in " TN SR69 Bridge Collapse."
- Students tackle the problems of a real-world electrical design situation in "I Want my Pizza Hot!"
- Students confront some of the issues involved in automated manufacturing as they devise solutions within constraints of space and design in " The Case of the Gummies."
