Open MLA Template.doc. Key the following material. Select and cut paragraph two then paste it so that it is the last paragraph. Save the file.
To type a report in MLA (Modern Language Association) style, set all margins to one inch and set line spacing to double. In Microsoft Office Word, choose "file" then "page setup." On the page setup dialog box, enter the number "1" for each of the margins. Then choose "format" and "paragraph" to set line spacing to double.
Center and type the title of the report using upper- and lowercase letters. Then type the body of the report indenting paragraphs one-half an inch (Ober 132).
On line one of the report, create a header consisting of your last name and the page number. To create the header, click on "view" and choose "header and footer." Click on "align right" then key your name, space once, and "insert page number." Click on "close" to continue. Key the remaining lines of the heading.
