OBJECTIVE

Lynn Shelton (dba “YardSale4U”) is in need of a website to expand her business, better reach her target audience, as well as to serve loyalists in an effective, easy-to-navigate manner. The site's main objective would be to provide information about YardSale4U and to update loyalists with upcoming events and featured items.

SCOPE

Content
Based on the initial discussion with Lynn Shelton, our understanding of the items to be included in the website are listed below. Lynn Shelton will provide all content for the website (including the company logo) in electronic format (e.g. Email, MS Word). Website sections:

-Name
-Address
-Phone Number
-Brief Description of Items for Sale

SCHEDULE

We anticipate that the entire website can be set up in approximately NINE weeks, depending on the speed at which the content becomes available to us.

-Create Mock-ups for proposed layouts

-Gain Access to Client Domain via FTP Username & Password Information

-Plug in some content to make sure the HTML is working

LIMITATIONS OF PROJECT

After completion of the tasks proposed in this proposal; any updates, fixes, and maintenance are the sole responsibility of the client. Upon Project Completion Client may choose to work with one or more of Team members, under a separate contract, to update, fix, or provide maintenance on a freelance basis.

FEE SCHEDULE

Since this project is part of the student capstone experience, no monetary fee is expected. The client will provide a link, Designed by the students at NSCC, in the footer of the web page for the life of the design. We ask that our site design remain in existence for a minimum of six months.

SITE DESIGN INTELLECTUAL AND USAGE RIGHTS

The web site content is the sole property of YardSale4U. The site design is the property of the designers. The designers reserve the right to use the design templates and coding, and screen shots of the web site in portfolios, future projects, and marketing literature. NSCC, Nashville State Community College, reserves the right to use the web design, and snap shots, for educational purposes, program audits, and promotional literature.

OBJECTIVE

Petite Boutique is in need of a website re-design that will include a Content Management System. This website will be less content heavy and more suitable for the branding that is currently in place.

SCOPE

The specifications for this project were developed after conversations with Laurie Roe, co-owner of Petite Boutique. A document was also provided by Ms. Roe detailing her thoughts on the outline and overall navigation of the Petite Boutique website. The specifications below summarize that document. The Capstone team with provide Petite Boutique with a website that conforms to those specifications, understanding that minor adjustments may be necessary as the design process unfolds. The site redesign will include a standard template for the identified content pages listed below. A content management system, Wordpress, will be utilized in the design to simplify routine site updates.

It is of great importance for the software to be kept up to date.
