- This includes scheduling, promoting, and moderating sessions for the Access Center and Financial Aid.
Helped NSCC employees complete 779.08 hours of professional learning through The Teaching Center, which includes:
- 365.48 hours – Culturally Responsive Teaching Practices professional learning.
- 699.98 hours of professional learning emphasizing Learning.
- 567.42 hours of professional learning emphasizing Equity Driven.
- 636.08 hours of professional learning emphasizing Accountability.
- 557.48 hours of professional learning emphasizing Data-Informed.
- 708.08 hours of professional learning emphasizing Student-Centered.
Introduced 2 professional learning communities (PLCs) for fall 2024.
- One PLC is focused on Supercommunicators: How to Unlock the Secret Language of Connection by Charles Duhigg, and the second PLC is focused on The Five Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace by Gary Chapman and Paul White and is using data from Nashville State’s College Engagement Survey from fall 2023 and spring 2024 to inform the learning process.
Created and distributed a daily newsletter promoting professional learning to all faculty and to chairs of Administrative Assembly and Staff Assembly to share with their constituencies throughout Fall Flourish: Refreshing our Teaching Toolbox.
Updated website with professional learning opportunities and resources.
Updated the Professional Development Library with recordings of professional learning sessions.
Started NSCC’s first ACUE Effective Online Teaching Practices cohort.
Awarded 36 badges for employees who engaged in 8 hours or more of professional learning during Fall Flourish: Refreshing our Teaching Toolbox.
Through The Teaching Center, 19 faculty earned ACUE’s Effective Teaching Practices Framework credential and were pinned in August.
